TUCSON, Ariz. (December 2021) – The Tucson Arby’s restaurants want to bring some holiday cheer to families in need this season by collecting money to benefit Toys for Tots. All the money raised will be used to go to buy new toys for the children.
From now until Dec. 19, guests at nine of the Tucson area Arby’s are invited to donate money. Guests at the Arby’s restaurants in Vail and Sahuarita are raising funds for their local food banks, and the Sierra Vista restaurant is supporting the Sierra Vista Firefighters toy drive for their local community.
“I was born in raised in Tucson and this community and the families who live here mean so much to me,” said Jami Salyers, Vice President of operations and partner at Irish Beef, the Tucson Arby’s franchisee. “Every year that we have provided toys for kids, I am blown away by the generosity of Tucsonans and their desire to give back. Last year we raised over $40k and this year our goal is $45k.”
The Toys for Tots fundraiser isn’t the only charity initiative for Arby’s. Irish Beef, the local Arby’s Franchisee, strives to make Tucson a better place to live, work, and play. By 2021-year end, Arby’s, and the generosity of citizens of Tucson, will have raised over $150k for charities including $20,000 for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, $57,750 for United Cerebral Palsy Southern District; and participated in many other local community fundraisers.
