Sahuarita Times- Valley Animal Hospital to Join Marketplace

After serving the greater Tucson community for over 54 years, Valley Animal Hospital is coming to Sahuarita. The animal hospital will join the list of businesses at the Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace in April, and will begin to provide value to the community of Rancho Sahuarita and beyond.

Valley Animal Hospital in Tucson offers a variety of services, including quality routine care, emergency care, orthopedic services, and a full service “Pet Resort”, which offers grooming services and a boarding facility. The hospital also includes state-of-the-art surgical suites, a pharmacy, laboratories, ultrasound services, digital radiography, and more. The team at Valley Animal Hospital in Tucson includes over sixty veterinary professionals, all dedicated to the same commitment to pets’ well-being and overall health as the new team at the Sahuarita location will be.

The owners of Valley Animal Hospital, Dr. T.K. Warfield, Dr. John Vagnetti, and Dr. Blake Herrington are proud to extend their business to residents of Sahuarita. Nearly four hundred residents of the community are currently clients of the hospital in Tucson, making its extension down into Sahuarita a perfect fit. The facility will offer excellent standards of veterinary wellness and preventative care, as well as the ability to triage pets to the main critical care hospital in Tucson in case of emergencies. In Sahuarita, the veterinarian that will provide local residents’ pets with the care they need will be Dr. Denise Gordon.

Dr. Denise Gordon has had a long history working with Valley Animal Hospital. She initially worked as Dr. Kellams’ technician starting in 1984, until she left to travel and pursue her continued veterinary education in 1995. Dr. Gordon later graduated from Ross University, after which she moved to Pinetop, Arizona to work as an associate veterinarian for over four years. Now that she has come back to Tucson, she is fully committed and excited to lead the team at Valley Animal Hospital’s Sahuarita location, providing the community’s residents with the standard of care that her experience in over 25 years in the field has taught her.

Dr. Gordon, who has six dogs herself, is a strong advocate for preventative medicine, and is looking forward to assisting the residents of Sahuarita with the care and attentive treatment of their pets. Dr. Gordon commented “I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to serve the companion animal needs of the residents of Sahuarita.”
