With children out of school for the summer, and with families looking for unique and fun ways to pass the time, Rancho Sahuarita is ready with a full menu of exciting events and programs that will be sure to make it a season to remember.
The most anticipated part of each summer in Rancho Sahuarita, the opening of the Splash Park, would not be official without the annual Grand Opening Celebration event. Complete with music, activity and character visits by the pool, this resident favorite continues to be “the place to be”. The Splash Park will be open through the summer, until it closes Labor Day weekend. Swim lessons will also be available to residents again this summer, in both private and group settings.
In addition to yearly event favorites, like the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events, children’s summer camps and pool parties, new elements like programming in the region parks and after summer school programs will also be offered. These will provide opportunities for residents and children to spend their time in Sahuarita in a unique and accessible way. Beginning in May, residents will also be able to go to their neighborhood parks for activities like football, basketball, Health and Wellness classes and poolside music.
In a special partnership between The Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Department, Sahuarita Unified School District, and Rancho Sahuarita, residents will have a new option to keep kids occupied during the summer afternoons. The Summer Open Rec and Teen Rec programs are ideal for kids who finish summer school in the early afternoon and are looking for a safe and fun way to spend the rest of the day. This no-cost program is available for children and teens of all ages and will encourage creativity, interaction, and fitness through activity and play.
