So Much to Be Thankful For

With Thanksgiving happening this month, and the season of gratitude all around us, is a great time to recognize and appreciate all the important things in life that we have to be grateful for. From our family, to friends and neighbors, there are plenty of opportunities to spend time with and show appreciation for the ones we care about.

Rancho Sahuarita is full of the things in life that are universal; family, friends and fun. Our residents can spend the time off this season connecting with those closest to them, whether it be through cooking together, playing an afternoon football game, or simply taking the time to catch up on a Sunday afternoon.

Here are some other easy ways we shared that they can into the season of thanks in Rancho Sahuarita.

Get Involved

Fun events happening this month will give residents lots of opportunities to get involved and spend time with each other. The Multicultural Fair on Saturday, November 3rd from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. will give our families the chance to join us for a celebration of living traditions of artists and cultures. The event will include food trucks and various performances. Other events, like Story Time for Tots and Toddler Camp, (as usual), will have fun twists this month. Residents are encouraged to check out the full calendar and visit ActiveNet to get a round-down on everything happening this month.

Celebrate the Start

Rancho Sahuarita’s inaugural Founders Day event will also take place this month, and it’s a great opportunity for our residents to come together and celebrate the birth of the community they call home.

Since the first family moved into the community in early 2002, thousands of families have called Rancho Sahuarita home. Many of the original families still live here. We want to celebrate these families, and their impact on making the community what it has become over the years.

Special giveaways for residents will take place at Club Rancho Sahuarita, the entire week of November 12th through November 17th for Resident Appreciation Week. The week will then wrap up with a grand Founders Day Celebration on Saturday, November 17th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This family-friendly, free event will take place at Parque Del Rio/Safari Trail Park, and will include a BBQ, live music, performers and fun inflatables for the kids. It’s another great example of one of the many family-friendly things to do in the community for those who live here.

Give Back

Having an attitude of gratitude is important, and as part of that it is important to give back. There are also plenty of those opportunities close to home too. Help out those in need by giving donations to benefit the Sahuarita Food Bank (or the local food bank near you!). You can also donate needed items to many other deserving organizations not just during this season, but throughout the year.  Plus, chances are whether you live in the community or elsewhere, you can find lots of great resources that can help you connect with lots of ongoing volunteer opportunities and ways to give back.
