Sahuarita Times: New Development for 2017 is Strong in Rancho Sahuarita

“After what was arguably one of the worst recessions in our nation’s history, the housing market in Arizona is finally rebounding and returning to healthy levels. This return to health and prosperity is being echoed in Rancho Sahuarita; not just in terms of home sales and new home development, but also with regards to new retail and commercial offerings in the master plan.

Back in February of this year, Rancho Sahuarita XX L.L.C. closed on the sale of a commercial pad to Fry’s Food Stores, which has resulted in the construction of a Fry’s gas canopy on “The Corner” in Rancho Sahuarita. The new canopy is the second gasoline provider in the community, which already has an existing Shell station onsite at the main intersection of Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. and Sahuarita Rd.

The commercial pad is one of six total at the site. Rancho Sahuarita is actively talking to multiple groups about locating on any of the five remaining pads, and plans to announce additional new offerings in the next few months.

Richmond American Homes has closed out in their neighborhood of Presidio Del Norte in the northern region of the community, and KB Home is down to their last remaining lots in their neighborhood of Presidio Porvenir. Insight Homes, represented by Excelsior Real Estate, is building a series of 5 new luxury homes on their remaining lots in the Presidio De Las Estrellas neighborhood.

Rancho Sahuarita is also introducing new lots in its two newest neighborhoods; Entrada La Villita and Entrada Del Rio. Entrada La Villita, which will open this fall, is a 71-lot community located southwest of the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse. The builder for this neighborhood will be announced soon.

Entrada Del Rio, on the other hand, is a community comprised of over 500 new lots, which will be introduced in multiple phases with multiple builders and product types planned. This neighborhood is anticipated to open in spring of 2018.

Jeremy Sharpe, Vice President of Community Development for Rancho Sahuarita, commented on the growth saying, “We are thrilled and looking forward to what we anticipate will be an active few years in Rancho Sahuarita! Between future home sales at our newest neighborhoods in the community, development of our community’s commercial offerings and the addition of the new K-8 school in the Sahuarita Town Center, the future in the coming years is certainly bright!””
