Rancho Sahuarita Management Company Named a Finalist for 2018 Copper Cactus Awards

Developer of Award-Winning Master Planned Community Selected as Finalist for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Best Place to Work Award

(August 10th, 2018 – TUCSON, ARIZONA) – The Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for this year’s Copper Cactus Awards, which recognizes Southern Arizona businesses in various categories for their positive impacts on the community. Rancho Sahuarita Management Company was announced as a finalist for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Best Place to Work Award, as part of an announcement released on August 2nd by the Chamber.

Rancho Sahuarita Management Company, which oversees the development and operation of the Rancho Sahuarita community in Sahuarita, Arizona, began its development nearly 20 years ago. Since then, the company has remained dedicated to its mission of “Creating a Better Life” for its community of approximately 18,000 residents. As part of this, it now offers more than 200 events per year, over 30 free Health and Wellness classes per week, special programs and outstanding amenities to those who call the community home.

The Chamber has shared that it received hundreds of nominations for the Copper Cactus Awards’ six categories, which include “Best Place to Work”, “Workforce Development”, “Small Business Leader of the Year”, “Business Growth”, “Innovation” and “Charitable Non-Profit Business”.

Eligibility requirements for applicants for this award included the need to be a locally owned and operated for-profit business, in operation for two years or more, and employ 200 or fewer full-time employees.

President and CEO of the Tucson Metro Chamber, Amber Smith, said of the awards: “Southern Arizona is home to an abundance of outstanding local small businesses working from the ground up with only a handful of employees, wearing many hats for the overall success of their business.”

Winners will be recognized at the 2018 Copper Cactus Awards ceremony, which will take place Friday, October 12th, 2018 in Tucson.
