Sahuarita Mayor Duane Blumberg has declared this Friday, Dec. 5 “Rancho Sahuarita Day,” in celebration of Rancho Sahuarita’s receipt of Metropolitan Pima Alliance’s inaugural “Project of the Decade” award.
The award, which will be presented to Rancho Sahuarita founder Bob Sharpe at MPA’s Common Ground Award Ceremony on Friday, recognizes the challenges overcome during Rancho Sahuarita’s creation, and the impact the community has made on Sahuarita and surrounding areas.
The Mayor’s proclamation will be read in full on Friday.
