Development to begin at “The Corner” at Rancho Sahuarita
SAHUARITA, AZ (February 10, 2017) – A new gas station is planned for development in the Rancho Sahuarita master planned community in the coming months. Fry’s Food Stores and Rancho Sahuarita XX L.L.C. closed on the sale of a commercial pad on February 8, 2017, which will allow for the addition of a Fry’s gas canopy. This will be the second gasoline provider in the community, which already has an existing Shell station onsite.
The deal will allow for the start of construction on the 5.1 acre site, known as “The Corner” at Rancho Sahuarita. “The Corner” is located at the northeast corner of Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard and Sahuarita Road, and the whole site will feature 5 additional commercial pads at completion. The Rancho Sahuarita Company is developing the entire site, and is currently in talks with a number of groups about the sale and development of pads.
The gas canopy will come as a welcomed addition to the community, which after continued growth throughout the last decade has a demand for more commercial development. Fry’s has an existing “Fry’s Marketplace” grocery store, located in the Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace. The grocer also recently introduced the addition of their ClickList feature at the Marketplace, where patrons can browse and place orders for their grocery items online and then pay for and pick up their purchases in store.
Ted Herman, Vice President of Land and Commercial Assets for the Rancho Sahuarita Company, said of the deal, “We are excited to have another gasoline provider, and to expand on the already successful presence of Fry’s in our community. It will make a great addition to our commercial offerings, and will usher in more development slated for potential retail, restaurant and commercial uses.”
