Since its opening in 2009, the Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace has served as a major commercial hub for many local businesses in the community of Sahuarita. The Marketplace, which currently includes a variety of restaurants, shops, and medical and service providers, will soon include two new additions: Pick A Berry Yogurt, and Dunkin-Donuts & Baskin-Robbins.
Pick A Berry, a locally owned and operated frozen yogurt shop, will serve residents of the community with self-serve, ‘weigh and pay’ yogurt. This family-run business venture, whose owners are excited to join the Rancho Sahuarita community, looks forward to providing residents with delicious yogurt in a variety of unique flavors. The owners are also excited to get involved and take part in community events and initiatives. The shop is expected to open in September of this year.
Dunkin-Donuts & Baskin-Robbins is also set to open in the Marketplace in the coming year. The company recently entered a lease agreement with Rancho Sahuarita Commercial Ventures, LLC for the leasing of the last open space in the center. The space, which totals 1879 square feet, will be utilized by both arms of the company, and will be operated by Jeetendra Yadav.
Bob Sharpe, founder of Rancho Sahuarita, said of the new business, “As a small child, I remember the thrill of going to the Baskin-Robbins with my parents and sampling many of their 31 flavors. Although offering a variety of ice creams isn’t as unique as it once was, I am very excited that Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins has decided to locate a store in the Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace and that kids in Sahuarita will have the same opportunity to pick their favorite flavors.” Met with much resident excitement and anticipation, the new location is expected to open in December 2013.
Another local business, on the other hand, has already experienced the excitement of joining the Marketplace, having just opened in the center this month. Pub 1922 Vintage Flavor Co. – or Pub 1922 for short – is a unique eatery with everything from delicious Mexican food classics, to juicy cheeseburgers, to flatbread pizzas and spaghetti. The restaurant has already been greeted with much resident enthusiasm and satisfaction, ensuring its place as a Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace staple.
