With two large neighborhood parks, nine beautifully kept “pocket” parks and 17 miles of pedestrian trails and paths for walking and cycling, it’s easy to see why.
The community’s parks also include two larger neighborhood parks, one in the central part of the community, and one in the northern region. These larger parks include pools, green space, play equipment, and picnic areas.
Rancho Sahuarita also includes a Bark Park for our residents’ fluffy friends, and linear parks, which provide beautiful backdrops for picnics, Frisbee, and lounging in the sun.
Our trail system connects our neighborhoods and parks through a series of beautiful and safe walking and cycling paths.
Rancho Sahuarita’s most famous trail, The Safari Trail, is a unique walking path that is lined on all sides with life-size bronze statues of African animals.
Sahuarita lake is a public, fishing-friendly lake located in the center of Rancho Sahuarita, right next to Club Rancho Sahuarita.
The lake, the only of its kind in the region, is encircled by a 5-acre park with trails, green space, and an open-air amphitheater.
Sahuarita Lake is the setting for many of Rancho Sahuarita’s events, as well as many events that are open to the rest of the Sahuarita community. Over the years, Sahuarita Lake has hosted a triathlon, boating competition, fishing festival, and canoe days.
On any given day, Sahuarita Lake is surrounded by anglers of all ages, people taking walks, and others going for brisk jogs around the water’s edge.
