Rancho Sahuarita Splash Pool

Johnjay Van Es Takes VIP Tour of Rancho Sahuarita

In April, syndicated radio host Johnjay Van Es stopped by Rancho Sahuarita for a tour with Managing Partner, Jeremy Sharpe. Van Es is part of the highly popular “Johnjay & Rich Show”, which is “a non-stop blend of pop culture, news and events, welcoming a wide range of music artists, news makers and celebrities.”

A former Tucson resident himself, Johnjay shared that he had never been to the master planned community, and stopped by to have a look. The two chatted about the community’s many amenities, unique programming and all the ways that families can live a better life while calling Rancho Sahuarita home.

One of the community’s two larger neighborhood parks for residents, the Parque Del Rio amenity, offers resident families access to a pool and spa, sport courts, the Safari Trail and the kid-favorite Flamingo Splash Pad.

The Safari Trail, which has life-size bronze statues of various animals and serves as a popular spot for entertainment and for learning, is a big hit with families of the community.

The Flamingo Splash Pad is in the shape of a semi-circle, and is made up of three colors. The centerpiece of the splash pad is the addition of two 12-ft tall pink flamingos, and a series of special jets built into the pad which spray water upwards out of the deck. The flamingos both dump water out of their bills, onto the heads of delighted little ones below.

Johnjay and Jeremy also chatted a little about the future plans for the community. With nearly 6,000 homes already built, and plans for thousands more to come, Rancho Sahuarita has big plans for growth in the future.
