Each year in Rancho Sahuarita, the Holiday season is busy with a variety of exciting events perfect for the whole family to enjoy. 2013 will be no exception. Beginning with the Children’s Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 7th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, the Town of Sahuarita and Rancho Sahuarita will join together with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra to give children in the community an interactive glimpse into the world of music. Rural/Metro Fire Department will also be on hand to provide lunch. Later that afternoon, the annual Pet Pictures with Santa event will happen, allowing residents and their guests to ring in the holiday season with their best four-legged friends. Other resident events will also take place in December, such as the resident-favorite “Coffee Social”, in which Carondelet Health Network comes to celebrate the spirit of Kindness, and a special “Holiday Movie Under the Stars”.
Finally, on Saturday, December 14th, the Town of Sahuarita, Rural/Metro Fire Department, Carondelet Health Network, KGVY Radio, and Rancho Sahuarita will present the first ever “Winter Festival and Holiday Parade.” The parade, which will incorporate entries from various local community organizations and groups, will be followed immediately after by a full festival, with food vendors, activities, and a special ‘Kids Wonderland’ area.
More exciting that any of the events themselves, are the partnerships that are formed, cultivated, and that flourish to make each of them successful. So in this time of holiday spirit; it is that spirit of partnership, teamwork, and collaboration, which make the season that much sweeter.
