About Sahuarita Unified School District (SUSD)

Our premier school district, Sahuarita Unified School District (SUSD), helps families to Create a Better Life by offering an outstanding and supportive school system that serves more than 5,800 students across two elementary schools, one middle school, three K-8 schools, two high schools, and an early childhood center.

SUSD is committed to creating school environments that support the physical, mental, cognitive, and emotional well being of students, including athletics, fine arts, and afterschool programs. Boasting high quality, award-winning teachers and staff, and excelling in groundbreaking curriculum and programs, SUSD was the first school district in Arizona to implement the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), and offers many AP and dual enrollment courses to students.

Sahuarita Primary School

Sahuarita Primary School is a K-2 school located just off of the intersection of I-19 and Sahuarita Road in Sahuarita, AZ. The mission of Sahuarita Primary School is to develop all students into becoming life-long, self-directed learners, problem solvers, and effective communicators.

Sahuarita Intermediate School

Sahuarita Intermediate School serves grades 3-5 and offers students a warm and welcoming classroom environment. Committed to developing students into goal-setters and quality producers, Sahuarita Intermediate School is located off of W. Sahuarita Rd. and is just East of Sahuarita Primary School.

Sahuarita Middle School

Home of the Jaguars, Sahuarita Middle School serves grades 6-8 with a dynamic curriculum aligned to Arizona College and Career Ready Standards. Sahuarita Middle School is just North of Sahuarita Primary School and Sahuarita Intermediate School.

Copper View Elementary School

Copper View serves students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The school is located south of the main campus and serves the central area of Rancho Sahuarita from south of Camino Rancheria to north of Camino Lago Azul.

Anza Trail School

Anza Trail School is a K-8 school offering a full range of after school sports and clubs, a positive and self-learning environment and a comprehensive curriculum. Located off of South Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard, Anza Trail School is located near Anza Trail Park, West of Club Rancho Sahuarita.

Wrightson Ridge School

SUSD’s newest school, Wrightson Ridge School is a K-8 school committed to developing the habit of excellence through a balanced education in a safe and supportive environment. Wrightson Ridge School is located South of Sahuarita Road in the Sahuarita Town Center.

Sahuarita High School

Sahuarita High School is one of two high schools in the district and was recognized in 2016 as an A+ School of Excellence. With successful athletic teams and clubs, Sahuarita High School is “success through high standards, expectations and support.”

Walden Grove High School

Empowering students to achieve in the pack; preparing students to grow outside of it, Walden Grove High School is the newest high school in the Sahuarita Unified School District #30 and was established in 2011. Walden Grove High School is not located within Rancho Sahuarita™ but serves students in the community based on their residence location.

Sahuarita’s Early Childhood Center is a quality first 4-star rated center that serves children from ages 2-5. Part of the Let’s Move Childcare initiative, the Early Childhood Center believes that children learn best through active learning.

Sahuarita Digital Pathways Academy is a comprehensive digital learning school serving students in grades K-12, offering children the opportunity to learn, grow, and meet their educational goals from home.

The University of Arizona

Sahuarita is less than 30 minutes from the campus of the University of Arizona, a large research university recognized for its achievements in science, water research, space exploration, land development and sustainability, and public health. The University is a member of the PAC-12 and attracts students nationally and internationally.

Pima Community College

Tucson’s two-year public college system, Pima Community College, offers classes at six locations throughout Pima County. The college awards associate’s degrees in a variety of fields, as well as professional certifications and course credit. Pima has also offered summer camps and programs for kids in Sahuarita at Anza Trail School.
