This summer, FC Tucson and Rancho Sahuarita came together to prove that soccer is more than just a game, but also an opportunity to give back to the community. Aligned in their passion for the Southern Arizona area and its residents, the two organizations partnered to bring fans together for a series of exciting matches at Kino Stadium, all while making a tangible impact for a worthy cause.
The partnership kicked off with three exciting matches this season, where the excitement of live soccer was combined to promote the powerful spirit of giving. At each of these events, fans had the chance to participate in a toy drive to benefit Diamond Children’s Medical Center, helping to bring joy and comfort to young patients. As a special feature, a plush toy toss took place during halftime, giving fans the chance to actively engage in the spirit of giving while enjoying the action on the field. As a result, over 100 plush toys have been collected to benefit the Diamond Children’s Medical Center.

As of the end of June, FC Tucson is currently leading the Southwest division with a 5-0-1 record and fresh off their USL2 Western Conference Championship victory, and enjoying an incredible season. The club’s attendance has seen a year-over-year increase, with the first home match of the season bringing in the second-highest home opener crowd in the club’s 15-year history. As the team continues to make waves on the field, they are also making a difference off it.
