Residents since 2011
Bryan and Joy Hopper are 9-year residents enjoying life in Rancho Sahuarita. They both have long careers in the Air Force and chose to move to Arizona to be closer to family. They had 3 days to find a house and looked at multiple areas in the surrounding communities of Tucson. Bryan said after they saw Rancho Sahuarita their decision was easy because the amenities and nearby stores and restaurants at the Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace appealed to them.
When we asked the Hoppers how they Create a Better Life living in Rancho Sahuarita, Joy explained, “We both enjoy working out in the fitness center at Club Rancho Sahuarita and regularly attend various fitness classes. Bryan enjoys the cycling class and I enjoy the Yoga class and we both enjoy swimming and hiking.”
The Hoppers are also involved in an outreach program. Each month, Bryan and Joy, along with other volunteers at Common Ground Church and Rincon Baptist Church, collect donations from generous residents of the community. They collect water, Gatorade, cookies, chips, fried chicken and fruit to serve lunch to homeless and low-income families in Tucson. In the winter, they collect shoes, warm clothing and blankets to share with the same families.
The Hoppers enjoy spending time with their son, daughter- in- law and two beautiful grandchildren that live in San Angelo, Texas and also love cheering on their Denver Broncos and U of A Wildcats!
