Frozen Yogurt will soon be available to residents of the Sahuarita Community, as Pick a Berry Yogurt opens for business in just a few short days. The family-owned and operated company, known as PAB for short, is eager to join the community.
After being personally introduced to the self-serve yogurt concept while in South Dakota, the owners desired to replicate the idea themselves somehow. After tossing around the idea for a few weeks and then researching the area, they concluded that the Sahuarita/Green Valley area would be a perfect place to try it. Having looked into the possibility of franchising and also after having the experience of owning a small business 20 years prior, they made the decision that family-owned was the way to go.
PAB offers a healthy option for frozen desserts for families. The business will be the same self-service, ‘weigh-and-pay’ model that is gaining popularity in many parts of the country. This allows for the customer to have complete control and the desired level of customization he or she is after. With a huge variety of flavors and toppings that can be mixed and matched to make dozens of combinations, the owners are certain that residents of the area will always be able to enjoy something new and exciting.
The company is planning to have various specials for customers to enjoy, as well as rotating flavors. Recently the company announced its list of “kick-off flavors”, which were chosen with the help of customer input and voting. Some of these flavors will include ‘Birthday Cake’, ‘Orange Dreamsicle’, ‘Chocolate Covered Pretzel’, and ‘Sea Salt Carmel’. Additionally, the company has announced the many different types of flavors that will be available, such as non-fat, no-sugar-added, sorbets and greek varieties.
In addition to catering birthday parties and special events, PAB will also be taking the opportunity to engage with the community in other ways. They will be available to host fundraisers, in which a percentage of sales generated will go to benefit a given cause. These services will become available in October, and interested customers are asked to call 396-3100 for more details, pricing or to schedule such an event.
