Construction has begun on the infrastructure that will allow for the opening of Rancho Sahuarita’s newest neighborhoods, Entrada la Villita and Entrada del Rio. Together, the two neighborhoods will be comprised of over 500 new home residential lots, and will allow for more new families to move into the community in the coming years.

Entrada la Villita, which is located southwest of the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse, will have 71 lots. Construction on the site began in mid-February, and residents will continue to see progress as Rancho Sahuarita works to build and improve those lots. Entrada La Villita will likely sell well in the market, as its proximity to the Clubhouse, coupled with close access to Sahuarita Road., make it a desirable option for future home buyers.

The company has been in conversations with multiple new home builders to talk about locating in that new neighborhood, and the builder that will build homes on those lots will be announced soon.

The addition of this new neighborhood will also require work to existing infrastructure off of La Villita Road, as the appropriate turn and access lanes will need to be added. The new neighborhood is anticipated to be open with homes available for purchase this fall, and more details will be made available in the coming months.

Entrada del Rio, on the other hand, is expected to open in the Spring of 2018. The neighborhood will have over 500 lots, and will be broken into phases with a mix of multiple builders anticipated. That neighborhood is much awaited for some residents, who are looking forward to moving into a new home with close proximity to the Rancho Sahuarita Marketplace, and the Parque del Rio neighborhood amenity; complete with its own pool, sport courts, and the new Armed Forces Tribute and Flamingo Splash Pad.

Jeremy Sharpe, Vice President of Community Development for Rancho Sahuarita, commented on the addition of the new neighborhoods saying: “We are excited to have started construction on Entrada la Villita. This new neighborhood will offer buyers the opportunity to live in the heart of Rancho Sahuarita.”

He continued: “Our team works tirelessly to deliver an outstanding quality of life for existing residents, and we know as these new neighborhoods come to market, even more new residents will be able to enjoy all that they create.”

Construction has also begun on the community’s newest commercial parcel, “The Corner” at Rancho Sahuarita. The 5.1 –acre development, located at the northeast corner of Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. and Sahuarita Rd. will have a new Fry’s Gas Canopy and kiosk on one of the pads. The Rancho Sahuarita Company is currently talking to multiple groups about locating on any of the other 5 pads, and details about new tenants will be released as information becomes available.
