On the morning of July 4th, over 60 attendees gathered to celebrate the opening of the Armed Forces Tribute at Rancho Sahuarita. Guests included key political figures, major players in the construction of the Tribute, and some local veterans that reside in the community. General Edward Maxwell, the Assistant Adjutant General and Air Component Commander for the Arizona Air National Guard, served as the Guest Speaker for the event, which also included a celebration of the purpose and vision behind the tribute, and the unveiling and debut of the monuments and bronze soldier statue centerpiece. The event concluded with a ribbon cutting, led by LTC Robert Webster USAR Ret, who is also the Rancho Sahuarita Resident Board Member.
