(December 21st, 2017) – “Two new businesses, Wags & Whiskers Pet Salon and Panda Express, have recently opened in Rancho Sahuarita. The two new businesses add to the existing commercial, restaurant, and service offerings available within the master plan, and offer its residents more service and dining options.
Wags & Whiskers is a full-service pet grooming salon that is “passionate about animals” and “passionate about our environment.” They use all natural products, which have been “tested on humans” and are safe for animals. They also pride themselves on specializing with senior, aggressive or anxious pets, (though they will happily assist with all dogs, cats and rabbits). This philosophy that promotes a fun and less-stressful experience for your furry friend includes the use of natural products, aromatherapy, diffusers and more.
The team has 22 years of experience combined. Part owner Rose Tyler spoke of what got her into the business saying: “I have been grooming for 5 years and was taught by Suzan, another owner. We have been working on opening a pet salon ever since I realized the amount of love I had for this industry. Every single day is different, and I love being able to interact with not only the pets but also with the Pet Parents.”
She also spoke of her grooming business partner saying, “Suzan has been grooming 17 years and teaching for over 7 years, and has always had an interest in the animal industry. She found her passion after deciding to go to a grooming school moving her from her small hometown of Duncan, AZ to the big city of Tucson, AZ. She hasn’t stopped since and has no plans on slowing down, dedicating all of her success, passion, and knowledge to her late father, Wilmer John Stephens Jr.”
The Grand Opening for Wags & Whiskers took place on Saturday, December 9th, and featured a ribbon cutting, small celebratory gathering and other promotions. A full list of services and the ability to book appointments can be found at their website, at petgroomingaz.com.
Then, on Thursday, December 21st, Panda Express officially opened for business. The restaurant provider is a welcomed addition to the community, whose families have expressed desire for more dining options.
Panda Express joins the Fry’s gas canopy at “The Corner” at Rancho Sahuarita, which still has 4 remaining pads. The Rancho Sahuarita Company is developing the entire site, and is currently in talks with a number of groups about the sale and development of the four remaining pads. Further commercial growth is expected to continue in the coming years, with the “The Corner” and other commercial pads in the community currently being marketed.”
