Rancho Sahuarita was recently named “Southern Arizona’s Community of the Decade” by the Metropolitan Pima Alliance. The “small-town” feel of our growing community has drawn nearly 17,000 to call it home, and with its amenities, events and programs – it’s not hard to see why.

This is the second in a series of 10 posts highlighting Rancho Sahuarita and the amenities that make it a great place for families to start creating their best lives. Look for other posts to come in the next few months!

Splash Park

Located at Club Rancho Sahuarita, the Splash Park is truly the highlight of the community for many. Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, the Park is part of the larger outdoor space, which also includes

-25 meter, 8-lane lap pool (Heated and open year round)

-Tot Lagoon (Heated and open year round)

-Spa (Heated and open year round)

-Tanning chairs

-Shaded picnic areas available for resident use and/or rental for private events

-Nearby restrooms and showers to rinse off

The Splash Park is comprised of 3 water slides (whose length together is over 300 feet!), two slide pools, and the Big Bucket water feature. In addition to having lots of fun ladders and fountains, the bucket at the center fills with water over time as children gather underneath. Then approximately every 3 minutes, the bucket spills over.

The Splash Park is nearly ready to close for the summer, upon which time the team at Rancho Sahuarita will begin needed annual maintenance and upkeep to get it ready for next year.

The Splash Park is not only a favorite of residents, but also of local blog site Tucson Topia. The Park was featured as the #1 Splash Pad on their list of 5 Best Splash Pads in Tucson in 2013.
