Located directly south of the Safari Trail and Safari Trail Park in the southern portion of the community is the Parque del Rio. This park, combined with the Parque del Presidio in the northern region of the community, make up the “Satellite Amenities” in Rancho Sahuarita. Located in the neighborhoods of the community, these satellite amenities help bring a piece of the lifestyle based at the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse closer to home.
Both parks provide great places for families to play games, swim, or just have a picnic with family and friends relaxing. Various events and classes are held in the region parks throughout the year, like Movie Nights, and Zumba or Bootcamp classes.
These two parks have mini recreation centers, complete with outdoor pools, play structures, basketball courts, volleyball courts and picnic areas. Codes are needed to access the pools at these parks, which can be obtained by residents by visiting the Front Desk at Club Rancho Sahuarita.
The Parque del Rio is approximately 3 acres in size (including parking, etc.) and blends seamlessly into the Safari Trail and Butterfly Garden along the main boulevard in Rancho Sahuarita. Similarly, the Parque del Presidio, (also about 3 acres in size), is a great amenity for residents living in the northern region, who are looking to get some exercise and activity in at the basketball court or take a dip in the swimming pool.
These parks, in addition to other parks in the community, also have ramadas that may be reserved by residents for private parties, picnics, functions or gatherings. Reservations to utilize these ramadas can be made at the Clubhouse.
