The Red, White and Boom! event is next Tuesday, July 4th at the Sahuarita Lake Amphitheater from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Rancho Sahuarita is partnering with the Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Department to bring local residents this popular community event, which drew roughly 10,000 people in its inaugural year in 2015.
This year’s event will be complete with live music, food trucks, face painters and more! The night also includes the return of the “Whatever Floats Your Boat Competition”, which allows residents the opportunity to build their own non-motorized boats and demonstrate them in front of spectators and be judged for the chance to win prizes.
Finally, the highlight of the event will be the fireworks, which will begin promptly at 9:00 p.m. Residents are invited to congregate around the lake, which will be the perfect viewing area for the show. This event is also open to the public, so it’s the perfect opportunity to bring your friends give them a chance to experience what the community has to offer.
We ask that residents be advised of a temporary road closure that will be taking place as a result of this event. Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. between La Villita Rd. and S. Camino Lago Azul will be closed beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th. (Residents of the Agua Azul gated neighborhood were mailed special passes that need to be displayed on their dashboard in order to gain access to their neighborhood during this closure. If you live in Agua Azul and did not receive your passes, please contact the Lifestyle Department at Club Rancho Sahuarita at 520-207-7730). Parking will be available in various areas of the community, including at the Anza Trail School parking lot and at a large dirt event parking lot that is being built along Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. south of North Park.
For any questions about this event, or for more details, contact Club Rancho Sahuarita or the Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Department.
