Parque La Coraza – Coming Summer 2024!

Parque La Coraza is our newest neighborhood amenity, coming soon! Nestled near our neighborhood of Entrada La Coraza, and down the street from our newest neighborhood, Entrada Del Pueblo, this addition has been thoughtfully designed to add to our already impressive array of amenities. At its completion, it will further enrich the lives of our community’s diverse and growing families. It will include a range of features such as a basketball court, a ramada, playground (already open!), restrooms, green space for recreation and occasional programming, a dog park for both large and small dogs, and a very special First Responders Tribute.

Stay tuned, as we’ll be sharing more details in the coming months!

Butterfly Garden

Located just along the Safari Trail is a little enclave, and home to the Butterfly Garden. Not only does this picturesque garden have its own set of benches and walkways, but it is complete with a variety of plants and green spaces designed to attract one of nature’s most beautiful creatures.

The Garden was created as another way to add interest and beauty to the community’s already extensive trail system. Many weekend afternoons can be spent watching families enjoy the space, which conveniently wraps along the same pathways shared by the nearby Parque Del Rio and other greenways.

Desert Garden

Adjacent to Parque Del Rio is the Desert Garden, with paved paths stretching a half-mile for walking and jogging. Picnic tables and benches are integrated along the walkways to enjoy with friends and family; along with large activatable greenspaces with ramadas for larger functions.

This unique linear system was created to share a path connection to the Bark Park and The Greens for families and their fury pets to enjoy. A beautiful combination of raw desert areas and developed spaces – it’s another perfect spot to soak in more of the Sahuarita sun.

The Armed Forces Tribute

The Armed Forces Tribute is dedicated to each branch of the Armed Forces: the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Marines and the Coast Guard. The new tribute presents the community’s residents the chance to honor both veterans and active duty service members. Special events have been held at the Tribute, including Coffee for Warriors and Memorial Day Remembrance ceremonies.

Safari Trail

Explore the magical wonders of an African safari on our Safari Trail, a collection of life-size bronze statues of elephants, giraffes, gorillas and other exotic animals, and it’s all in your backyard! Located along Rancho Sahuarita Blvd., it’s directly adjacent one of the two larger neighborhood parks in the community.

Each of the featured statues showcases a plaque with a description of the animal and details about its species, along with fun facts as takeaways for families.

The Safari Trail provides a great venue for families to pass the time exploring and learning together. Many families can be seen using the space for photo opps too – with laughing little ones posing for portraits atop the mother turtle and other animals. Events have also been held there too – such as the annual summertime Safari Movie Night; which gives families the opportunity to learn about the animals from a representative from Tucson’s Reid Park Zoo. Local schools like Anza Trail also take students to the park for educational outings.

Pocket Parks and Bark Park

With two large neighborhood parks, nine beautifully kept “pocket” parks and 20+ miles of pedestrian trails for safe walking and cycling, it’s easy to see why life in Rancho Sahuarita is full of exploration. Our parks include pools, green space, play equipment, and picnic areas for our residents to enjoy.

In Rancho Sahuarita, we really are about creating a better life for your WHOLE family. That includes even your special four-legged friends! Our Bark Park is located across the street from Club Rancho Sahuarita, and has space and play equipment designed for both large and small dogs. Between that and our many linear parks, residents and their dogs have plenty of beautiful backdrops for picnics, playtime, Frisbee, or lounging in the sun.

Anza Trail

A segment of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, as designated by the National Parks Service, also winds through the community. The full trail is over 1,200 miles in length, and runs from Nogales, Arizona to the San Francisco Bay Area in California.

Wilderness Trail

Our Wilderness Trail winds throughout the Rancho Sahuarita community, connecting various neighborhoods, pocket parks and amenities. Broken into several smaller trails, the paths are the setting for events like “It’s a Good Day to Trail!”, and the backdrop for relaxing sunset strolls.

Sahuarita Lake & Sahuarita Lake Park

Sahuarita lake is a public, fishing-friendly lake located in the center of Rancho Sahuarita, right next to Club Rancho Sahuarita.

The lake, the only of its kind in the region, is encircled by a 15-acre park with trails, green space, and an open-air amphitheater.

Sahuarita Lake is the setting for many of Rancho Sahuarita’s events, as well as many events that are open to the rest of the Sahuarita community. Over the years, Sahuarita Lake has hosted a triathlon, boating competition, fishing festival, and canoe days.

On any given day, Sahuarita Lake is surrounded by anglers of all ages, people taking walks, and others going for brisk jogs around the water’s edge.

We encourage you to live a life of exploration in Rancho Sahuarita, so our parks and trails are easily accessible through each neighborhood in the community.
